About Me

I am a writer, first and foremost. Trained as a journalist, but expanding to creative non-fiction and fiction. Then, secondly, I am a graduate student. I’m fairly certain that my adviser wouldn’t be happy to see that configuration, but there it is.

I plan on using this site to promote my work - primarily my writing, but occasionally my academic work as well. Though, again, I’m not sure how people would react to that photo. I think that academics are meant to be more drab, as a rule.

Who give a shit about your adviser thinks? Be who you are, and don’t be ashamed of yourself. God made you pretty, and that’s how we should present ourselves, no matter what we have on.

I don’t know that half naked photos necessarily diminishes ones artistic credibility, but it sure creepies up the comment section. Mind, I have half naked pictures of myself in wedding dress on my site…but I suspect my credibility is sufficiently low the hit would go unnoticed.

I like your blog T. I took your photo the way I think you intended it, and that is that it only suggests nudity when in fact you may be fully clothed in ever normal sense. I have to agree a very “kittenish” demeanor which happens to be a mood I think you enjoy visiting quite often. I don’t see your expression of feminine beauty hindering or adversely affecting your credibility, only in the minds of those who rely on pseudo-credibility through criticizing others. (I call them hacks)

I started a news service in Second Life and really need a good journalist. Second Life has gained much national attention and has shown up on CNN a number of times, as well as in other mainstream news media.

If you are interested, I’d really like to hear from you. Keep up the good work here!

Actually the academics would be wrong I think that you are beautiful and the picture speaks without a word being said. I look forward to your posts.

I just discovered your sit and read your latest post. I have had a few major events in my life recently (death of my father, my grandmother, and my two dogs via mysterious causes. Lately, the wolf keeps me awake too. It seems that my fear of the wolf inside grows stronger as I get older (I’m now 44.) It is a scary proposition. I am trying to stand still, as you said., and live in the moment. It is easier said than done.

Hope you get some sleep. Hope I do too. Glad I discovered your site. I look forward to future posts.

    Hi,
I came here via a google search for the Miley Cyrus pics and stumbled upon your rather simplistic argument against the protestors for Tibet. Why not direct your frustration at China’s academic system (or rather sympathize with it), as it is manifestly beholden to the whims of the state, and clearly lacks any autonomy? While I agree that China is heading generally in the right direction and deserves credit for this, academics especially must embrace the moral duty of recognizing the distance it still hsa to go. I’m sorry your conferece was “postponed” and you have to eat the costs of the ticket, but this brush with Chinese authoritarianism would have turned me on to the protests, not against them.
    Keep up the good work,
    Jay

Theresa you remind me a lot of me. I heard you on NPR today. I sometimes wonder if there are people like us out there. Life reads like a tragedy, but somehow, regardless of the neigh Sayers, you survive and blossom. We are different ethnicities, sizes, and possible religions; but we are very much alike.

    Thanks for sharing Goddess.

    Best Regards,

    Shelly B.
